Tregovenek needs you! This is the beginning of a wonderful adventure and to reach the vision of Tregovenek, a whole lot of wisdom, energy and enthusiasm is required. We work in circles, small groups of people working on specific aspects of the project. If any of these opportunities interest you, please contact waysofworking@tregovenek.org.uk or call 07582 450640 to arrange a conversation.
If you would like to get updates on our Friday volunteer work parties in the community garden, please email waysofworking@tregovenek.org.uk or join the work party email list here.

Non-Executive Directors Needed
Do you have experience in social enterprises, charities or business? Would you like to be part of this inspiring and fulfilling project?
We are looking for Non-Executive Directors to join the Board of our Community Benefit Society.
No tedious Board meetings! We are in the early years of our journey and are exploring new ways of working that allow for fun and connection as well as productivity. We are supported by strong values and principles and believe that how we work together today shapes the future we want to create for tomorrow. We use sociocracy, a decentralised way of organising, to ensure we stay true to our vision, have professional integrity and comply with legal and financial requirements.
This is an opportunity to utilise your skills and expertise to help find creative solutions for financial stability and longevity, ensuring this wonderful project benefits the wider community, and the land, for generations to come. We aim for Tregovenek to be truly community-owned and hope to launch a community share offer in the future.
If you can support the Board by providing sound strategic overview and scrutiny and have experience either within a social enterprise, charity or business setting, we would love to hear from you!
You’ll be joining an ever-growing group of good folk, with a wide range of backgrounds, who want to make a difference and have fun whilst they do it! The CBS Board generally meets online every 4-6 weeks and otherwise communicates by email. Whilst being situated near Tregovenek is preferred, it is not essential.
Please email directors@tregovenek.org.uk to arrange a call or a visit in person (depending upon location). Be a good ancestor, apply now.
Finance Circle Member

We need help with: financial reporting, fundraising, managing day-to-day accounts and financial modelling in preparation for our community share offer. We have legal obligations to meet as a Community Benefit Society (such as producing our annual report) and we are currently developing simple policies to as the project evolves. Experience in accountancy for non-profits, funding applications and the accounting software Xero would be wonderful, or at least the willingness to spend time getting your head around it all!
You will become part of the Finance Working Circle (currently 3 people), who generally meet every 4 weeks. Our financial end of year is 31 March. This is initially an unpaid position, with the potential for a paid position if you can help source appropriate funding!
